New York City Winter Wine Festival: wine , jazz and more.

NYC WWFEST

For you wine lovers a great wine tasting event is coming in February to New York City. New York Wine Events will be hosting its 7th Annual New York City Wine Festival on February 6th 2016. The event will be held in Times Square at the Playstation Theater (formerly known as the Best Buy Theater). There will be two tasting sessions that day, the first at 3pm to 6 pm and the evening session from 8 pm to 11 pm. The event looks fantastic and I am excited to take part in the festivities.
Wine of course is the center of the event but there is so much more. There will be over 250 wines to sample at the tasting and each guest will keep their etched tasting glass. The wines will include wines from France, Australia, Spain, Italy, South Africa , New Zealand and the United States. The festival will feature the wines of New York State with many wineries in attendance. New York State wine has been growing in popularity as wine lovers are beginning to understand the wide variety of quality wine produced here in New York. Long Island, the Hudson Valley, Finger Lakes, North Country and Niagara region are all producing fine and enjoyable wines.

There is also light fare available including cheese and crackers. hors d’oeurves. There will be tables with samples of chocolates, artisan cheeses, olive oil and more. To add to the fun music will be provided by Soul Train Music award winner and jazz keyboardist Alex Bugnon will take the stage to entertain guests. It sounds like a great way to spend a Saturday.
