Greenwich Concours, an amazing automotive event returns May 30-31

The premier automotive event in our area, the Greenwich Concours D’elegance returns May 30th-31st.  This fantastic car event is a must attend for any car enthusiast and has traditionally featured some of the finest automobiles to be seen at any national car event. The Concours held at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park is right on Greenwich Harbor and provides the perfect waterfront setting.  For car lovers and their family this is a truly memorable experience

The event encompasses both days with  Saturday  celebrates the innovation, performance, and motorsport at The Greenwich Concours de Sport.  Here over than 135 sports cars, racing machines, and one-of-a-kind vehicles will  be available for viewing on the show field .  It promises to be a great show.

Also on Saturday is the fantastic Hagerty Ride & Drive event. Here you can drive and ride in a classic car or new car through the streets of Greenwich. This is one of my favorite events and is first come first serve.

Saturday will feature  High Tide Talks on the show field throughout the day. Co-hosts Justin Bell and Bill Rothermel will showcase interesting cars and their stories along with interviews with vehicle owners, automotive insiders and industry icons.

Sunday May 31st will feature the Concours d’Elegance.  The show field will be filled with classic automobiles that celebrate the art and elegance of classic cars.  Attendees will delight in unique and beautiful autos with some that you have only seen on television or in print.

For 2026, The Greenwich Concours, driven by Hagerty, is honored to welcome Paul Russell as Grand Marshal. Since 1978, Paul Russell & Company has been a standard-setter in the classic car world, preserving and restoring fine European collectibles, including the 1938 Alfa Romeo 8C 2900 Mille Miglia Spider and the magnificent 1938 Mercedes-Benz 540K Autobahn-Kurier.

This is the must attend automotive event in our region.

New York International Auto Show at the Javits Center through April 7th.

The New York International Auto Show is back at the Javits Center from March 29th  to April 7th.  The show is a delight for all ages.   You can see hundreds of new cars as well as concept cars from a number of manufacturers.  Among the companies displaying their cars will be Ford, Chevrolet, Nissan, Toyota, Jeep, Subaru, Kia, Genesis, Volkswagen, Bentley, Porsche, Honda and so much more.

The iconic Ford Mustang is celebrating its 60th anniversary with a very special display.  There are also displays of vintage New York City police cars, the cars of Robert Downey, Jr., Hot Rods, and more.

Auto show debuts include the new Kia K4, Porsche Macan EV and the Genesis GV60.

An original Volkswagen Beetle from 1949 (first year of import to the States) is on display next to the new ID Buzz from VW.

As with last year there is a focus on Electric Vehicles and there is indoor test track on the lower level where you can ride as a passenger in cars from several brands, The New York Power Authority and Con Edison also have displays with regards to electric vehicle recharging. 

There are over 100 Immersive exhibits and experiences at this year’s Auto Show including Camp Jeep  (an amazing outdoor off road experience), Ford Bronco Off Road Adventure and Subaru’s National Park themed exhibit coupled with a  pet adoption, auto racing simulators and more.
